Technology Use
- AWS Rekognition (Face Detection, Face Matching, Object Detection)
- AWS SNS/SQS/Lambda for alerts and automation
- Browser monitoring & activity tracking
- Secure exam portal / LMS integration

Problem Statement
Remote examinations are difficult to monitor, making it easier for candidates to cheat through mobile usage, unauthorized person substitution, eye movement, switching screens, talking, or using external help. Traditional manual proctoring does not scale and lacks reliability.
Benefits

Prevents cheating and ensures exam integrity

Automated and continuous identity verification

Real-time alerts for suspicious activity

Scalable for large exam volumes

Reduces human proctor effort and operational cost
How It Works
- Candidate logs into the exam portal; face is verified via AWS Rekognition.
- Continuous camera monitoring identifies the candidate throughout the session.
- Rekognition detects violations such as:
- Different face / multiple faces
- Mobile phone detected
- Eyes looking sideways for long duration
- Talking or another person detected
- Screen/tab switching
- System logs violations and sends real-time alerts to proctors.
- At the end, a proctoring report is generated with timestamps and confidence scores.
