Difference between Cloud, Real, Enterprises, Private cloud

Cloud services are essentially classified in two distinct forms - Public Cloud and Private Cloud. Cloud offering as a service over the Internet is the Public Cloud Hosting solution. Whereas, a private cloud is the deployment within the Firewall and whose management is taken care by the user enterprise. The location of deployment is the prime differentiating factor between the two.

Real and Enterprise Cloud would essentially be segments of Public Cloud offerings.

What if a hard-drive fails?

Cloud is a bank of servers which are all combined together to form a common pool of resources for usage. This would be space, data transfer (bandwidth), memory and processing power. In case ofany individual resource failing, your virtual machine (VM) will automatically transferred to a fully functional server within the cloud. This is possible because of the self-healing nature of cloud services.

What are the benefits of cloud computing?

There are lots of advantages to using cloud computing (services). One of the major ones is the flexibility that it offers. Cloud computing is often cheaper and less labor-intensive for companies too. There is no need to buy and install expensive software because it's already installed online remotely and you run it from there, not to mention the fact that many cloud computing applications are offered free of charge. A major advantage of using cloud computing for many companies is that because it's online, it offers virtually unlimited storage compared to server and hard drive limits.

Needing more storage space does not cause issues with server upgrades and equipment - usually all you need to do is increase your monthly fee slightly for more data storage. Users can avoid expenditure on hardware and software; only using what they need. Consumption is billed as a utility with minimal upfront costs and on-demand scaleability is available at all times.

Are I2k2 Cloud Servers behind a Firewall?

We have a highly secure environment in which the cloud services function. A firewall is just one of the many security features the cloud has.

How does I2k2 Monitor and Graph Important Server Health Statistics and Alerts?

We have a combination of utilities which include automated scripts, monitoring devices as well as manual checks put in place which keep an eye over all the vital services and resources of the cloud

How fast a Cloud Server is deployed?

Depending on the choice of the operating system and the add-on features, a cloud is deployed between 20 minutes to 60 minutes.

What are the benefits of cloud computing over VPS or Dedicated Server?

Scalability (both upgrade and downgrade) on the fly is the biggest advantage of having cloud services. I2k2 offers dedicated servers that are easy to access, remotely manage, and control. Cloud servers are deployed much quicker, and offer scalability that is ideal for companies or individuals that don't have "regular" computing needs, as resources are purchased as they are used. Cloud-computing solutions can be a better option, both cost wise and performance wise, than dedicated servers depending on the needs of the user.

While placing the order I found Hostname what is this can we change it later on?

A hostname is the nickname that is given to a device connected to a computer network. A hostname is a specific name pointing to a specific host. A hostname could be test, test.com, test.testsdomain.com, test.accounting.testsemployer.com and so on. The point is that its a name used to refer to a specific host. This can be changed later.
